Kitchen [artgerecht]

Kitchen [artgerecht] (translated literally “species-appropiate”, in a broader sense appropriate)

A design that limits the construction of the kitchen to ensuring the structural integrity, while aiming to save as much material as possible. The result of long years of development – material usage has been reduced by up to two thirds. It is a new minimalism in its purest form – combining function and aesthetics with a minimum of material in a kitchen that aims to keep the ecological footprint as small as possible in terms of sustainability.

The kitchen uses solid ash wood, gray glass and ceramics, a material that mühlböck küche.raum has been using as a pioneer in the kitchen for 12 years. The traditional blue color for the credenzas in the Mühlviertel region was used again in the metal frame required for the construction. The design lightness was to be retained despite the use of solid wood. The kitchen is very open, but the ash wood used is highly dust and dirt repellent.

Appropriate food storage in a kitchen
In cooperation with the University of Art and Design Linz, a seminar was held to develop ways of transferring traditional storage methods to the kitchen of today and transforming them into a new interior in a contemporary design. The first prototypes have already been produced and integrated into the kitchen.

The new kitchen [artgerecht] can currently be seen in the showroom at Schloss Neuhaus.
