When developing this kitchen, the aim was to make wood as a kitchen material acceptable again in urban areas, while at the same time saving resources in the production of a kitchen and leaving the smallest possible ecological footprint.

As an island body, Martin Mühlböck developed a structure that limits the construction of the kitchen to ensuring the structural stability, while aiming to save as much material as possible. He was able to reduce the amount of material used in the island alone by up to two thirds. Only solid wood is used for the body construction. Nevertheless, the fronts and worktops are made of ceramic.

The high ash wood cabinet in the form of two credenzas surprises with an “Isidor M” folding-hinged door for the fronts, developed by Martin Mühlböck himself. Three narrow panels are folded away sideways in one movement and rest on the front of the kitchen. As the units in this area at the front of the kitchen can be opened, no storage space is lost when the folding/rotary door is folded away.

The fronts can be kept either open or closed. To give the solid wood kitchen a lightness of design, only 16 mm thick side walls and shelves are used instead of the usual 25 mm. The open shelves at the sides of the kitchen create a comfortable atmosphere.
